I agree. I've found it to be a major inconvenience, especially in the Warning Hack V1.5 thread. But I can recall occasions where it would have come in handy.

I suggest putting a link or icon in the postbit of hack release threads that when clicked on opens the original post in a new window. That way we can have the best of both worlds. It's also more intuitive that way as it's easier to look at windows from side to side, rather than up and down. Of couse I have no idea how that would be done.
