Solved this in an acceptable way

I just made the page output a row of green images, each of these was linked to a php file which executed the actual code and when finished executing, displayed the image.

Now my only other problem is, how do I make the Link to the next step only show up once all the images are loaded??

rather hard that one.... help is much appreciated
