Need advice for my 3.0.1 upgrade please
Ok, there were around 64 core files changed according to vbulletin.com. I have a lot of hacks so I took those 65 files out of the 3.0.1 package, used araxis merge to update the 65 files from my old 3.0.0 board. Now, what I need to know is, do I have to run the install script or can I just copy over the updated files and be done?
and If I do have to run the install script what is the best way. I am assuming I do the following: copy the 65 new files to my old board, copy over the install folder to my old board, then run install? Thanks for any advice guys! |

you have to upload the install folder, but have to run upgrade.php
you always have to run this file when you do an upgrade, as it will do the DB changes and template updates |
