What does the "V" stand for in vbulletin?
So what does it stand for? Did they just call it vbulletin because the v looks like a checkmark in the logo?

I have seen a few previous posts about this, to be honest, I don't think it stands for anything (at least to my knowledge). I suppose it "could" stand for plenty of things, plenty of things comes to mind, although I am sure one of the devs. or John could tell you what it means if anything .

I just thought I was really stupid, lol. I was thinking of things it could stand for but it's hard to think of words that start with v.

it means "visual"
because it started out as a project for their visual basic forum... http://www.vbforums.com/ But, as I know, as we speak, its just vBulletin. Not "Visual Bulletin" board, etc If I stand corrected, please correct me... |

FWIW, the official reason is that there is no particular reason.
