Is there any money to be made with Google Adsense?

I am planning for the bulk of revenue to be from subscription members who are allowed to sell product to user base.

Secondary will be banner ads through phpads.

Is Google Adsense worthwhile to create space for?

On average what percentage of monthly revenue does Adsense provide?

1) Only you can decide that.

2) It's a violation of the TOS to discuss that.

They say it can make hundreds in the course of weeks or months. I don't use the program myself so I don't know, although I contacted Google a while ago and they said you can apply, and if accepted, not be obligated to serve ads.

That's true, but, in the tos it says they can deacyivate a site if they don't get any hits on the ads for a 3 month period.

I make quite a bit of money from adsense on non-community sites but have found them to be very unsuccessful on my forums.

I run adsense on my boards and get hundreds of thousands of hits and rarely ever get clicks. Don't worry about ads right now, worry about actually getting visitors.
