Hey, not quite sure where this would fit, so thought I'd stick it in here, and if it's in the wrong place, someone please move it
![]() Anyway, I'm basically have a server move soon, and want to make sure I have everything I need for restoring the forums at my new home. So what do I need to have basically? I got the mySQL dump [backup] from the forums admin panel, and I'm downloading all forum-files from FTP. Is this all I'll need, or is there more? Thanks for any help ![]() Leo. |

The mysql dump from the admin panel really isn't sufficient. Read up in the FAQ forum on vb.com to see how to make a reliable database backup

Well, I've just checked and I have no SSH/Telnet enabled on my account. Is there no other reliable way? Really all I need is the members/posts intact. The styles I can download in the CP, no? Also, the attachements aern't at the top of my priority list either. Anyone got any help...please?

I believe it is the only reliable way. Have you tried asking your host to give you SHH/Telnet access?
