No ++++ing clue what I am doing
Ok, so yes, I am a complete moron. I have no clue how to do any of the hacks. Whether they need to be done in mySQL Database or in Admin CP under templates, so if someone could give me a complete idiots explanation as to how to get started on Lesane's Store Hack, it would be so greatly appreciated

What exactly do you need help with?

If you've never done hacking before, and don't even think you can start, you might be best off just hiring someone to install the stuff for you.

I understand the logistics of it and all, converting all that stuff. What I don't understand is, where to find some of the things I'm looking for
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * FILES EDITS * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ********************************** OPEN ROOT/index.php ********************************** Find: if ($bbuserinfo['userid']!=0) { Add after it: $storepoints=$bbuserinfo['storep']; Find: } else { $welcometext = ""; Add after it: $storepoints="0"; I don't know where to do the file edits, whether it's in my vB Admin CP, or in MySQL Database. I guess I didn't explain my problem very well. Sorry |

You do the file edits to the files that you downloaded from vb.com. You know, the ones that you uploaded to your website under the "forums" folder before you installed the software. Just open them with a text editor (I use metapad, but notepad works good too) and use the "find" feature to locate the code. Once you've made all the changes to the file, save and upload it.
Also, read this for more help on how to apply hacks. |
