Posts count towards overall post count but not members
Is there a way we can make it so for a certain forum, the post counts towards the overall forum posts count but does NOT count for the member's overall post counts. I just want this on spam forums and my battle results forum. I don't think it would be that hard of an addition to make but I still have no clue where to start it.

hmm i don't see the point what you want exactly...
the global value of all posts on a forum is not affected by the setting count posts towards user postcount |

Ya there's the battle hack and it automatically makes posts in a forum depicting the results of a battle. I want like the forum to have its posts counted towards the overall forum post but doesn't affect the users post count because that would be too cheap.

ahh i see now i think
you have to hack the postcreation part a bit to update the forum stats. just copy the part of newreply.php should be enough if you have the same var names |

doesn't this automatically hapen when you set a forum to not count posts towards user? or does the battle hack change this?

that doesn't add to the overall forum count. I don't want it to contribute to a user's post count but for overall forum count.
Xenon: wouldn't that affect every forum if i did that?? Any other ways u could post? |
