Forum Name as external link

Is there a way to take this one step further and have vB NOT display the last post date or post numbers for a forum set as an external link?

For example, I have photopost set up as a forum & external link. However, this leaves "Never" in the last post column, and 0's in the others - users might think there is nothing in there.

I'd rather it not show those numbers and text at all...

Something like the code below out of index.php (but this gives an error) and also apply it to the counts as well. ?
