I use a script on a non VB page to pull off the latest threads from one of my categories which then posts them as news on our main page.

However I would like users to be able to post comments on the news by making replies to the threads but without bumping the thread. Is it possible to allow users to allow users to reply to a thread in one forum and to not bump the thread at all?

just put out the threadupdate code in newreply.php for this forum, but whenever you update the counters they will be updated again.

also, why?
threads can be ordere in so much idfferent ways on forumdisplay..

It is not a VB3 engine, just a parsed copy!
