Wetwired, the site looks nice, but I just can't adjust to having the postbit on the right side. It's like trying to write with your right hand after 25 years of being a lefty.

The postbit should take up the whole window width.
The user info is on the right, however.

Well, if it's over the top, I guess that's because we were aiming for as different as possible. One of the defining charactoristics of the average vB is lots of 1px lines dividing things, so of course we had to kill the lines, and swap the user info, and all sorts of other crazy things . The one feature that we added that I think all vBs should add is the columns on the thread info icon. It's so confusing to figure out what those default icons mean, so I redid them in columns, put a nice little pic on the column header and changed the explanation a bit, and all the sudden those icons become usefull again. That, and kill all that vertical padding between thread info to shorten the forum display like we did.

For those that don't like or who's connection handle the saturation of graphic goodness in Synthesis, we still have our more traditional styles, such as Zephios and Night Vision, but the majority of our users stick with Synthesis, which is actually amazing, because before Synthesis, all the regulars had a different favorite style...
