This hack was tested with version 2.2.6 and is my first ever attempt with a modification of VB. All you need to do is upload the attached .php file to your forums directory and then either "require" or use and "iframe" and recall the boardstats.php file into your website page. Currently this will display the latest user registered, number of members, number of threads and posts, and member of the day. In order to use the Member of the day you might need to have it installed. I have found that some boards were able to still display the member of the day even if they never installed the original hack.
This is my first hack, please be kind to me. Depending on the location of your board you might need to change some URL's found in the ECHO string.
In order to customize the OUTPUT of the HTML for your homepage just edit the lines in the ECHO string.

I like this simpler form of the board stats without the avatar for my boards. I've tried to add this but at present, it isn't working...
because I've set my board for view only by registered members. I end up getting the "login page/error page OOPs...are you registered?" inserted in my index.php of my domain because of this permission concern.
Is there any way to suspend those permissions for the index page of my domain (non-vb)?
I've tried to get this one to work...but I'm getting this error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /usr/local/apache/sites/mydomain.com/httpdocs/stats.inc.php on line 8
I've changed the require "global" line up a few times...because at first I got nothing displayed on the page. Finally I got something but it was this error.
I'm using VB 2.2.8
Any ideas on what else I can tweak to get this to display on my index.php page of my domain? (Non-vb)
I didn't want all the info from the more elaborate "stats with avatar, etc". I just wanted simple: Members, threads, posts and newest member.
Just remove anything you dont want to use. Remove the call strings from the HTML located in the boardstat.php file.
As for you Kathy, i am not running 2.2.8 cause my 2.2.6 is too hacked at the moment and i am waiting for a version i dont lose my hacks on. So i cant help you there. Try installing the newest version.
