Is this okay according to the vB terms of service/ license agreement? I've considered doing this myself... Any of the mods here know? Presumably they might not like it since it may potentially reduce people getting licenses...

I know this may be an off-the-wall suggestion but has anyone thought of actually asking Jelsoft this question?

I emailed them and they said it is ok I just have to get a license for each board or have the people that I will host get a license. That is no problem at all.

The only problem I would see if you install the same copy on multiple domains, when it calls back you will have it calling back with a different customer number. You will probably want to replace the index.php and the adminfunctions.php (I might be wrong with the adminfunctions.php file) so that it matches the domain of the owner.

Oh so each copy of VBulletin has a unique code in it for EACH licensed member?

Yep.. Everytime you go to the Admin CP it calls back.
