Slow Posting
Hello all,
Anybody got any ideas on the following? For reasons unknown in the last few days users are reporting that submitting new posts is slow (10 to 15 seconds). Everything else is running as before and well within acceptable times, the only thing impacted is posting. I have run a repair/rebuild on the post table but this has made no difference. Any other suggestions? Thanks |

Have you tried disabling all plugins?

Do you have delay set for email? Turn off the delay.. If your forum is set to send instant notifications on posts and you have your delay set on your posts will be delayed. I know because I had the issue..

Also look at the times that certain cron jobs are being executed ... you might need to change the times that they are being done at because you might have more than 1 cron job and maybe many as 10 cron jobs running at the same time which will cause delays ....

That found the problem, looks like is being caused by Tapatalk and a push notification it sends on each post
