I'm not looking to customize the forum.

I'm looking to use the API to log a user in. I get that this is in the gray area of being custom code but what is the point of the API if nobody can use it.

Anyway, I have it working on a non SSL enabled forum. But now I'm running into the issue that as my users fail to login I think my external application is getting locked out.

Anybody know measures that can be taken to keep my application from being blocked? Can I see what IP addresses/users are being blocked from API access?
