Global Ignore MOD wish
When you place a user on Global Ignore, every post ever made by that user is suppressed; isn't visible; and the following phrase text from administrator_decided_x_quiet is displayed:
The administrator has decided that {1} should be quiet for a while. This is how the Global Ignore setting works. However... It would be preferable if: 1) Global Ignore suppressed future posts; those created after being placed on Global Ignore. Posts created before being placed on Global Ignore would still display. 2) There was an option to exempt Usergroups and select individuals (by userID or username, which ever is easier to code for) from being affected; they would still see the posts. Additionally, content of posts made by users placed on Global Ignore are visible when viewing their Profile page and you click on Find latest posts. The resulting listing of posts shows the first x number of lines in those posts; they are not suppressed until you actually go in to them. Sorta defeats the purpose IMO. |

That would require a custom plugin and a couple of database adjustments since it doesn't keep track of when someone was added to the list as far as I know. Shouldn't be too much work to make it, but not sure if someone is willing to do that for free.

Actually it could be quite complex to make it work properly, as its used in many places.
I should also point out that the message you refer to is only shown to admins (and super mods ?) not to normal members. |

The help does not state a message is shown at all, it just (correctly) says ".. when in reality nobody is seeing their posts."
You could have course just viewed as a guest and seen this |

Okay, I did just 'test' with a non-Admin username I have and use "for testing". As a 'regular member' I don't see posts of our ignored member; anywhere. So that is good and my primary concern is dispelled, and therefore, my 'wish' here can be 'ignored'.
