Help needed with forum blocks not updating
Hello all. I am needing some assistance with forum blocks on my newly upgraded 4.2.3 forum.
For some reason just my administrator account, and all accounts linked to mine, do not show the new posts, new threads, group, blog and cms updating. It freezes and I have to go to the admin control panel and click Purge Cache in the Forum Blocks Manager to update my view of the forum blocks to show everything new. I have cleared my browser cache and logged in on multiple browsers but the issue seems to be attached to just my accounts. Any thoughts on what I should look at or why this is happening? |

Forum blocks are cached by default.
If you go to the forum blocks manager and edit a block, you will be able to set the cache to 0 to disable the caching of that specific block. |

Thank you so much Dave. I changed everything to 0 and I am good to go now. Much appreciated.

I advise you to not set them to 0 though, it causes a lot more load on your forums if you have a lot of visitors. Even changing it to 1 minute will lower your load already.

So you are advising that I set them to 1 or is there a range that won't cause too much of a load?

If the data in the forum block doesn't change that often, increase the cache time. If it changes all the time, every 5/10 seconds for example, change it to 1 minute.
