Impossible to register a new account?

I recommended vBulletin to a friend and he now wants to use vb.org to obviously enjoy the modifications this site has.

However the registration process does not complete, he has tried, I tried for him, it just cycles through the registration screen as if to login however no account has been created.

Is this intentional or a bug?

After completing the registration form an email is sent to the email address entered and you must follow the link in the email to verify the account.

I just checked and it seems to work for me.

What browser and operating system are you using?

I think you shoud check correct mail. Only wrong email, you can't see email

Using chrome, and window 7.

I hate to sound pompous but I have been using the internet since 1999 I know how to register on a site and verify an email, it does not let me through to that stage, or indeed him.

What exactly happens when you hit the register button? If you're able to show a video or screenshot that would be immensely helpful.

It just redirects to the addmember url on a login screen but when I try to login it it wont allow me.
