Special permissions for articles requires?

As per the title, I tried to create a new article but was given a you do not have permission to access this page message. Is it supposed to be this way and if so why?

Did you click on the sub-forum link titled "Submit New Article" ?

It must be created there first, its a hidden forum but you'll be able to see your thread within the forum respectively. Once staff reviews the info if valid and helpful we'll gladly approve . Gosh you've been around a while I know your name so hopefully its not giving you grief let me know if so I'll bug Paul about it .

I can't believe I didn't notice that forum before. Clearly coffee later in the day is no substitute for coffee first thing in the morning. I at least know how to post it now. Given it may take a while for the article to be completed how do I notify staff when an article

Just shoot us a pm or post again so wee the last post date, we do check there every so often though when we see the last post is different and may or may not give tips or extra info to add . Princeton (Joe) actually showed me a few tips about writing a good article a long time ago before I was even on staff which I thought was rather nice back then at the time.

We usually see the article when we click New Posts. We can then make comments to you regarding it (you misspelled "this" and don't you mean variable "x" instead of "y"?) and when it's ready to be released, we delete all our comments so it's nice and clean.
