PM Notification without Full Message - How can I do that?
Currently when PM's arrive to a member's inbox when requesting email notification, it reveals the full message. However, I'd like it to appear as below:
Dear XXXX, You have received a new private message at XXXX Forum from XXXX, entitled "Deadline in about six hours!!". To read, respond to, or delete the message, you must log in here: http://www.XXXX.com/forums/private.php Cheers! XXXX Forum ------------ Anyone know how I can do that please? |

Sure, search for the phrase 'pmreceived' and set this as translation

Hi Fields, Thanks for that. However, that template doesn't exist when I search - is that even possible? I'm on VB 4.2.2 Patch Level 4 Thanks Vegas Dude |

It's a phrase, so go to Languages & Phrases > Search in Phrases. Click the "Phrase Variable Name Only" radio button to search for the phrase name. You'll find two, one's the email subject and the other's the body, but it will be obvious which one you want to edit. Then enter whatever you want in the 'Translation' box at the bottom (you'd probably want to copy and paste the existing phrase to start with).
