Process For Submitting New Product
Hello everyone,
I am putting the finishing touches on my very first vBulletin product, and I have a few questions about sharing it here with the community that has given me so much. I tried searching the site for a guide to submitting modifications, but I came up empty. 1.) As an unknown coder here, do I need to submit my product for review first to the staff? 2.) During the creation of the "New Mod" post, will I be given a thread url first that I can include in my xml file prior to zipping and uploading? 3.) When I click "Submit" are there subsequent pages to guide me through adding all relevant information such as "Download Now," "Screenshots" and "Show Your Support?" Any other guidance you all can give is greatly appreciated! |

At first its like making a new post, but then the next page it brings you to, you can pick the other options kind of the way a poll works. As far as I know it does not need to be approved by staff once posted all will see it. Upload the xml and screenshots at the first screen just the same way as you would for a normal post you will have the options to edit anything when done if needed

You don't need to submit it first. As for the product url and version check url, you just need to pick a product id that you know will be unique, then the urls will be:
Product URL: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/misc.php?do=producthelp&pid=product_id Version Check URL: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/misc.php?do=productcheck&pid=product_id Just make sure you enter the same product ID when you get to the settings page (which comes up after you submit the usual "new thread" page). Anyway, thanks for sharing your mod, and don't worry about it too much, if you mess up we'll help you get it fixed. |
