Cannot modify headers warning on install
Hi,
I am trying to install vbulletin 3.8.7. On enterting my customer number and hitting enter, It says cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (started in ......includes/class_core.php:2555) in ....install/authenticate.php. it does say that my customer number is correct, before redirecting me back to the customer number input form. I have installed this exact vbulletin (same files) on the same server before. |

Re upload your includes/config.php file, and edit it with a text editor like notepad ++

Thats probably because you are trying to install rather than upgrade, i suggest you remove all previous files and start afresh.

give me some credit....
not trying to install it on top of an existing version...just saying i've installed it on the server in the past. Anyways, fixed it...it was the php version - a couple iterations to new for vbulletin 3.8.7. I have managed to install it fine and without any annoying notices about strict standards. It's installed now but doesnt work! go to the url and I get a message in my browser saying the web page is unavailable as the site has a 301 redirect to somewhere else |

Well next then i suspect you'll have to check the database to ensure that you have the same url set in there as the one you are trying to access, what i mean is you may have entered www.mysite.com but trying to access http://mysite.com ...etc, so check that and check that you dont have any redirects or rewrites in a .htaccess file.
