Thread and post views in the Admin statistics

Is there anyway to add total Thread and Post views in the Admin statistics area or anywhere else?

And if so by the day? Is there something already for that I have missed in a search?

Would be nice so I don't have to click on every forum to see the views count. I want to be able to see daily what posts are getting the most views. Is this possible?

You wouldn't be able to do views by day, no. vBulletin doesn't store views by day, just a running total of views. You'd be better off tracking things in Google Analytics. The views do not exclude bots anyway.

You could run a query to get the most viewed threads ever though:

SELECT thread.title, thread.replycount, thread.views, forum.title AS forum 
FROM thread 
LEFT JOIN forum ON thread.forumid = forum.forumid
ORDER BY thread.views DESC;

BTW is there anything special you must do to set up Google Analytics on the forum?

No prob! If you want to view thread traffic by forum you have to add some conditions into the ga code. I'm not sure how it works with the latest code though. If you have any DBSEO or vbSEO then things are a little easier to segregate by URL.

oh and you could use that query with a date range to get threads that have been started between those dates:

SELECT thread.title, thread.replycount, thread.views, forum.title AS forum 
FROM thread

WHERE dateline > UNIX_TIMESTAMP('YYYY-MM-DD') AND dateline < UNIX_TIMESTAMP('YYYY-MM-DD')
