vbulletin upgrade so deleted custom templates
i had custom templates, but some templates were deleted after vbulletin upgrade. why happned this? i used 3.8.7 this happened then upgrade to 3.8.8 beta 4 ?

Upgrades overwrite all the files. It's one of the first basic things to consider when doing upgrades.

Custom templates are never deleted during an upgrade.

unfortunately, when 3.8.8 beta 4 upgrade, it deleted some of custom templates

The upgrade does not delete products, plugins, or templates.

No, it's not a bug.
Perhaps you inadvertently ran install.php instead of upgrade.php. However this is not a support section, this is for pre-sales questions only. If you need support please post in a different forum. Ideally you would ask your questions in the support forums on vBulletin.com. You should restore your backup and try the upgrade again. Make sure you run upgrade.php and not install.php. |

Moved to vB3 forum.
The upgrader does not remove standard custom templates - however, if you mistakenly added them to the Master style, they may get removed. |
