Update ... in case anyone is interested, I managed to come up with a solution.
1. I rebuilt the sub-forum section using our Admin as a Parent forum 2. I made access to the sub-forum password protected 3. I created a new usergroup 4. I edited forum permissions under the Admin CP Forum manager to allow the new usergroup to view the Admin forum only - no ability to view threads, content or post 5. I edited forum permissions under the Admin CP Forum manager to allow the new usergroup access/posting privileges in the new sub-forum. I created 2 new Admin accounts for testing - a non-supporting and a supporting member. With the 2 new accounts and with assistance from a trusted supporting member we beta tested the new forum section and functions and all worked exactly as we planned/needed. |
