What is this bar that popped up?
It just popped up. It's not displayed when I'm logged into my Admin account, but it shows up from my "regular user" account. This is the case across multiple styles, not just the one in the picture, which would indicate that it's not a style-related issue (right?). Any help would be appreciated. --------------- Added [DATE]1378879179[/DATE] at [TIME]1378879179[/TIME] --------------- Of course, as soon as I post, I found the stylevar. It's the "notices background". Making it transparent is a temporary fix. The next question would be why would it have popped up like that? How do I actually get rid of it...making it transparent doesn't actually remove the bar - so it's still there taking up space even though it's transparent. --------------- Added [DATE]1378879996[/DATE] at [TIME]1378879996[/TIME] --------------- And...turning it to "transparent" in another skin makes it black - not transparent. What the. |

I'm not entirely sure about the first question, but for the last part, each skin has it's own set of stylevars that you'll need to change.

To tell you what that bar is, we need a link to that page.

Sounds to me like you have a notice posted with nothing in it.
ACP --> Notices --> Notices Manager, find any that are Active and disable them. |

Ah, sweet. I have never, ever been to that submenu in ACP before. I only had the standard default_guest_message there ("If this is your first visit yada yada..."). I clicked a box so that the Registere Users were forbidden to see the message (even though a separate option was already enabled so that only Unregisteted/Not Logged In COULD see it) and that has put a bandaid on the issue.
Thank you very much, Ozzy47 - I never would have known to check there! |
