Thread Starter in Postbit for vB 4
Version 1.0.3
(By Boofo)
What does this product do?
This will add a thread starter icon/text to the postbit. There are 4 locations to choose from (2 icon and 2 text). I know this had been done already, but I didn't like how it showed in the postbit. You do not have to have a signature for this to work. This product is just an upgrade to the manual template edit I have used in the past.
Note: This product was written using the postbit_legacy template and has not been tested on the postbit template, although it should work fine.
Version Information:
Version 1.0.0 --Initial release for vBulletin 4.0.0
Version 1.0.1 --Fixed to work for vB 4.0.4
Version 1.0.2 --Added 2 new locations with highlighted text.
Version 1.0.3 --All 4 options are now linked to the first post of the thread. Also fixed a template cache error that was showing up for PMs.

The further I go through the thread, the more times the icon shows...
Does it correspond with the number of threads created?
Thanks...
That's how it should work, the Thread icon should show each time the poster who started the Thread posts replies. So everyone posting knows that poster is the one who started the Thread.
Many times after a few pages you forget who started the Thread, this way you know that the a certain poster who is replying is the 'Thread Starter'

Maybe you are right, maybe you are wrong...?
I think it has something to do with another mod.. I have the same issue with thumbs.
If you check the picture, you will understand more.
This was my favorite "Thread Starter" hack but lately it has been acting up.
Using 4.2.1 - and now every time the tread starter replies in the tread an EXTRA thread starter indicator is added.
So if it's the 3rd time they've responded in the thread, you see the thread starter icon 3 times, if it's the 5th time they've responded in the thread, you see the thread starter icon 5 times, etc.. See screenshot.
I had a similar issue. Then I went to the plug in manager and disabled all but the thread starter plug in and the issue was resolved. I then enabled each plug in 1 by 1 until I found the conflict.

Thanks DemOnstar  I actually deleted it and made my own. I placed the image under where ranks is and it looks really nice.
