Lets say I have 2 private forums already, and all moderators and admins have access to it. I then create another private forum, but want the moderators for that one not to have access to the previous forum, and I don't want any existing moderators to have access to the forum I just created.

Can I do this? Any ideas how?

In the admin cp you can edit their individual file options.

Must have access masks enabled. Go to the user's profile and click "edit access masks".

Please, read the post more carefully...I've a different problem...

[I'll try and be more precise, too: I don't want vBB to give default permission to all moderators to access the newly created private forum...this is my real problem]

It's called a "search". Great feature.

There's a thing called forum permissions in admin cp.
