Help with a DB
Hello,
I have a DB that is almost 1gb in size, it contains mostly pictures from the User Albums, i allowed any size of picture to be uploaded and a lot of users uploaded pictures of up to 10 mb in size. The Db got soo big that it was causing problems with the performance of the site and i had to removed them. I was wondering if there is any way to acces all those file and resize all the images and upload them again into my forum. thanks in advence for the help. Gonzalo |

Not sure if there is a way to do it within database but you could for temporary move them to file system, resize them with some gfx software e.g. Photoshop and then move them back into DB, But I guess it would be heavy process. Then again after some time you will have same problem. Isn't it a better idea to move them into the file system permanently?
