Turn autocomplete off in login form

Hi all,

for a recent project, my boss asks me to implement the autocomplete=off html attribute in the login form.
Do you know in which file I have to edit the login form?

And if it's a good idea at all? Everybody is like; well it's more secure, but it's also annoying I think.

I would recommend using jquery

$('.autoDisable').attr('autocomplete','off');

and add

class="autoDisable"

to all input fields and forms you would like to disable autocomplete.

for example on the username input field

before

<input type="text" class="textbox default-value" name="vb_login_username" id="navbar_username" size="10" accesskey="u" tabindex="101" value="User Name" style="color: rgb(130, 130, 130); ">

after

<input type="text" class="textbox default-value autoDisable" name="vb_login_username" id="navbar_username" size="10" accesskey="u" tabindex="101" value="User Name" style="color: rgb(130, 130, 130); ">

Thanks for your reply sir. Would it be advisable to do that on the username or password field?
And which files contain the username input field code you quoted above?

couldnt hurt to do both. remember to include the jquery library in order for the jquery code to work (when placed in javascript element). Username/password code is in the header template.
