Is There a Mod for Adding a Comment to a Post?

Is there a mod for allowing a moderator or admin to post a comment at the bottom of a post? I don't remember if I've seen something similar or not with this done with rep, whereby a comment might be attached at the bottom of the post.



Basically, I just want a hack that will allow me to write a comment about people that I ban, rather than having to respond to them and thus bump the thread. I don't want to edit their post because then I can be accused of having fabricated the entire post. I just want to add a little comment onto a post that has already been made. I don't want to hit the "edit post" button on someone else's post. I'd just like to hit a comment button that then sticks my comment at the bottom of their post, perhaps underneath a line or in a box or something.

Does a hack like this already exist?

It should be there when you ban them in your admincp. Unless you want the comment to be there for everyone to see?

I would like the comment to be publicly viewable and in the post of the person I am banning. If it's underneath a line or in a box, that would be great.

This will be used on people I ban and thus I can get the last word without the problems of (1) having to create a new post and thus stooping to that person's level and (2) bumping the thread.

Why not mod edit the sig and put your notes there?

Would that involve going into the control panel? If possible, I'd like to do it from the forum.

P.S. I don't know if y'all can see this or not, but on this post someone "liked" what I wrote and there is a little message displayed in the "the following members liked this post." It's in a blue box.

It's not about banning, it's about showing the reputation that was awarded to each post and the reputation comment.
