Yeah, the vbulletin search has its limitations. One is that common words are not indexed, so I'm pretty sure the problem you're having is that "thank" and "you" are both words that aren't included in the search index. ETA: I should add that the limitation is actually due to the fact that the search uses MySQL full text search functions. You can see the list of "stop words" here:

Sometimes it helps to use google to search instead (as BoP5 recently instructed me). For instance, if you search for "thank you site:vbulletin.org", you do get some results that include thank you in the thread title.
