DownloadsII

DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options.

It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself.



Instructions & Support

Requires vBulletin 4.0.4 or higher. Not fully compatible with lower vB 4 versions.
It works fine with both the new editor in vB 4.1.4 or higher and the old one in previous vB versions.

Read the instructions in the next two posts before installing/upgrading this mod!

You can find an installation/upgrade manual in the zip package (Readme.txt).

At the bottom of this post, you can find some screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software.

Though keep in mind that we are running a restyled and modified version of it.

Help!!! I can't upload large files??

This is probably the most asked question. It's mostly caused by some default PHP settings: check "PHP Max Post Size" and "PHP Maximum Upload Size" at your AdminCP home.

Then have a look at this post for the solution to up these values.
Also have a look at this post at vB.com (but ignore the MySQL part as DownloadsII is only using the file system).

what version are you running of vb I only have front-end redirect message or error messages

hmmm, maybe I'm not doing something right but i cant get a folder to hide from some user groups and not others....i see the function but it just doesn't seem to work.

any ideas?

I'm running 4.1.10. If you don't have Front-End Error Messages then put the message in the same group as the security_token_invalid phrase, since I'm using the same message displaying mechanism that that error uses.

If it helps the entries aren't in alphabetical order, some things are all over the place in the drop down list when adding a new phrase, see the picture where I've circled the phrase group I used, notice how its out of order.

As for the last point; I've installed it, and I'm setting it up... the comments editor is by default the Advance version.

Installed latted Downloads II version: 6.0.9

I have an error [page not found] if upload a file using the upload feature of this app, but if i import the file from my server the file downloads ok

sounds to me like you need to add extensions....ie. rar, zip.....

there are no extensions listed with the install!
