Problem with forum theme after updating to 4.1.8
I just recently discovered this problem with vbulletin and gets annoying and i'm hoping someone can help.
It's similar to this guy's issue but i'll try to explain it a bit better. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=274300 First off our forums have been legitimate from start unlike the guy above. When i go into admin cp, style manager, pick a style it shows my this one custom theme we have. If i try to view the vb default it shows the vb logo and images but the style and colors are still the custom theme's. I tried deleting the customs theme, vb default, and reimporting the master style via the tool.php and to still no avail has it done anything. At most my site went raw and still had colors but lost all forum constraints and became a massive list of text overlapping everything. I was able to restore the forum's after using my other vb site to upload a default blank template but when it installed it was still this custom theme when all i did was take a copy of vb's default from my other site. If i try and upload a new theme the images and some things change but colors and 90% of the site does not change. Now i tired on our test board and still the same thing, the vb default is this custom theme. I have checked the .htaccess, and i have tired disabling store style sheets and changing the default theme. I'm at a loss on what to do now, my other vb site running vb 4.1.8 is having no issues, this is the first time i'm come across something like this. Any help is much appreciated. --------------- Added [DATE]1323022549[/DATE] at [TIME]1323022549[/TIME] --------------- You can close or delete this, tried a few more things and figured it out. They had it so you couldn't change skins, so even though as admin you can view different non selectable skins with the master setting off it would not work. |

Holy crap, this problem is solved by allowing users to select their own skins in the cpanel... wow...
Should probably be fixed, we should be able to view styles as admins regardless of that setting. |
