private.php error
when accessing the inbox, the PMs display but everyone gets this message across the top of the page
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in private.php(2021) : eval()'d code on line 2 i disabled all plug ins under settings plugin/hooks and the message goes away. i disabled each plug in one by one to see which was the problem and the message doesn't go away. all i have installed is skimlinks, vboptimize lite and vbookie all template files are original with the exception of forumdisplay which we have the browsing users at the top. thats about it. i just upgraded to 4.18 but this has been happening ever since i moved from 3.5 to v4 Any help with this nuisance would be appreciated. |

It looks like that line number is the private_messagelist_filter hook location, maybe that will help you narrow down the problem.

not sure why that would be called with any of my plugins and also why disabling them one by one did nothing but disabling plugins/hooks globally through options did.
I thought maybe it was a dimension or oversized font issue as our primary skin has some enlarged font settings but even the default vbull4 skin throws back the same error. |

jesus christ, i cant believe it was that easy! obviously we aren't into modding in our old school forum. looks like vboptimize had something in there to speed up messages. guess my version is old. thanks so much!

Actually, I misread the plugin.
Apparently it is a vbulletin one. Any clue why it wouldn't be working? The file and template is untouched. This is the plugin. Increase Private Message List Speed private_messagelist_filter |

If the plugin list says it's part if vbulletin, that just means that it wasn't part of a product. If you write your own plugin or import a single plugin xml, it can end up under the vbulletin product section in the Plugin Manager.
