Override login on external page

I think I'll dig more into the cookie settings, that might be a good direction to explore, I think.

The forum is in a subdirectory /forums, and the page checking for the login is effectively in another subdirectory of the root. The script does see a logged-in user just fine, though, just has this odd (to me) behaviour when the user is not logged-in.
