Multiple forums from one software?
So basically, I need to run multiple forum areas from one vBulletin installation. So for example, there is a drop down box, they choose what area to go to, they are taken to that area and the forum skin changes according to that area as well.
I have seen a modification like this before but forgot what it was called and where I saw it. Thanks for any help. |

From what I have seen setting up my board, you can set individual catagories to have specific themes on them that the user can't change. You can also set UserGroups and AccessMasks to hide what certain people can and can't see, while changing the availability of going to certain forums from the main forum directory.
So if you want Forum A and Forum B to be "separate" forums, make Forum B a catagory, then change Forum B in the Forum Manager panel under Custom Style for this Forum into the style you want, and turn Forum is Active to No. Then create your drop down box and include a link to it. |
