In VB 3.x edit your postbit_legacy template-

For area 1:

Find the code:

<td class="alt1" id="td_post_$post[postid]" style="border-$stylevar[right]: $stylevar[cellspacing]px solid $stylevar[tborder_bgcolor]">

and change it to

<td class="alt1" id="td_post_$post[postid]" style="border-$stylevar[right]: $stylevar[cellspacing]px solid $stylevar[tborder_bgcolor]; background:yellow;">

Added code in red. Change "yellow" to whatever color or hex color code (#FFFFFF) you want.

For the bottom of the box find the code:

<td class="alt1" align="$stylevar[right]" style="border: $stylevar[cellspacing]px solid $stylevar[tborder_bgcolor]; border-$stylevar[left]: 0px; border-top: 0px">

and make the same change

For area 2:

Same template, look for this code:

<td class="alt2" rowspan="2" width="175" style="border: $stylevar[cellspacing]px solid $stylevar[tborder_bgcolor]; border-top: 0px; border-bottom: 0px">

and make it something like:

<td class="alt2" rowspan="2" width="175" style="border: $stylevar[cellspacing]px solid $stylevar[tborder_bgcolor]; border-top: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; background:orange;">

For the bottom part of the box find:

<td class="alt2" style="border: $stylevar[cellspacing]px solid $stylevar[tborder_bgcolor]; border-top: 0px">

and make the same change.
