Accually, all I'm really interested in doing is importing the users.
I can do this manually in MyPHPAdmin and MySQL but I'd rather have a script that does it for me ![]() I have a 130 member forum right now, and I want to import the users from a site I'm taking over with like 330 users, many with the same usernames though. My idea is, if I can isolate the double usernames, and remove those, I would just add, lets say a 20, to all their user id's, so that the person with a user id of 1 on the importing forum is now 201, 202, 220, 250, 350, etc... until I have imported all of the people. The thing I'm concerned about, is will vBulletin start creating user ID's for new members at the end of where I stop, like if the highest was 450, 451 would be next? Or would it fill in the gaps, like 141, 142, 451, etc... Or worse yet... would it overwrite users. |
