But changing the default sort order wouldn't prevent people from setting their own sort order. And you would have to run a query to force all existing users to it (and I bet they wouldn't be happy about it).
I used a mod in vb3 to "kill" a topic so it wouldn't rise to the top. We haven't needed it in vb4 yet and now I can't find it. But I wonder if it could be the basis for "killing" all topics in a forum. I dunno though. May just be better to put a sticky in the forum explaining to people how to set it up so they see it this way, if they want to. |
