I'm actually surprised that the mods which use it here do not have better error handling... It's a pretty critical part of a site to just allow it to break like that.
Hopefully it's back up soon! |

It's not affecting the API.
EDIT: at least it wasn't - but it appears to be down completely now. |

Can you not just disable the mod and go back to regular registration?
This sounds like you may want to post in the modification thread and ask the mod author is there is a way around this. |

There's no Enable/Disable for the vB mod, but you can disable the three settings:
Test IP address Test User name Test Email Address and then it will continue accepting new registrations, without connecting to the SFS db (as best as I can tell). Or, you can make the change to: Query Connection Errors What should happen if the remote connection times out when querying the new registration? and Allow Registrations I noticed no new registrations for several hours and checked the SFS statistics, and saw a ton of: Result on field username - luk14lukboss [REMOTEERR] Unverfied and rejected by policy It was rejecting all new signups.
