mod_rewrite
I have SEO friendly links enabled on my VB site and they work fine for the VB pages. I have added custom pages that query another database that at present are not SEO friendly. Example:
myvbsite.com/stuff.php?example=99669. My custom pages reside in the root of the VB directory so I assume they are subject to VB's .htaccess file. I have tried adding lots of entries that I have gotten off the web but none of them work. I can't even get my custom pages to error from my additions to the .htaccess file. Is there something special I need to do? I have tried a number of examples I found on the web but none of them work. I'm wondering if the fact that these pages are custom bulletin pages means I have to do something special with my rewrite code in the htaccess page. Thanks. |
