I made a backup just through the Admin CP, it was the first backup I have made with a new htaccess file that tube or firefly helped me with.
The backup came to 137 MBs ??? I thought this was a little small. Can somebody please let me know? BTW if you want to see the forum: http://www.theforumz.com/forumz/index.php I think the backup is too small considering attachments, etc. Is there anyway to use telnet and get it to download straight to your computer without saving it to the server first? I mean it sucks if I have to do that because then I have to have double the server space just to hold a backup of the database. Any help on this subject would be great. Thanks. |

I recently backed up my forum and moved it to another host...
do you have phpAdmin installed? If so, log in and see how large your database is... your database will be a few megs smaller than the number phpAdmin displays, and the number of tables will remain the same. |
