Hi all, got the news about the new update with the mobile compatibility... I've a couple of questions:
1. How is it different from using Tapatalk, an Android or an iPad/iPhone now? 2. Does it modify your current custom layout designs or does it default to a vB layout? In other words, do I need to do a complete redesign of a site SKIN for a mobile version? Thanks Jeff |

The mobile feature in 4.1.2 is simply an additional theme designed for mobile devices. You can also opt to force mobile devices to use a particular skin (you can even make older devices use a different skin than newer ones).

Try just switching the styles.

The mobile style has to be imported
Go to AdminCP=> Styles and templates=> Download-upload styles Under "Import Style XML File", enter PHP Code:
Under "Parent style" choose an existing color scheme or leave it blank Click "import" Once imported, go to Settings=> Options=> Style & Language Settings Select the new style under "Default Style for Modern Mobile Browsers" It should now show up on your phone. |
