Removing VB4 Sidebar's minimize button
Hi,
I want to keep the sidebar on the forum permanent and do not want the users to minimize it. Is there a way to remove that button to do so? Also, how can I make the sidebar to appear on all pages? |

To remove collapse, remove this from FORUMHOME:
HTML Code:
<a id="sidebar_button_link" href="#"> <vb:if condition="$vboptions['sidebarposition'] == 0"> <img id="sidebar_button" src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_misc}/tab-collapsed-left.png" alt="" /> <vb:else /> <img id="sidebar_button" src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_misc}/tab-collapsed.png" alt="" /> </vb:if> </a> |

just remember something if you remove the collapse button...
anyone who had it closed before you removed the button will not be able to reopen the sidebar. the cookie that stores the user's open/closed preference is valid for about one year. the user will have to delete the cookie or you will need to figure out a way to force the sidebar open regardless of the cookie value. |

Ok, here is the skinny on this, or I am missing something.
When I delete the code as above from ct2k7 then the collapse goes when the block is on general forum view but as soon as you browse another level then it re appears. The other code offered by anupam_luv, I simply cannot make work at all, so maybe I am missing something. Any help would be appreciated. |

Removing that code posted above from the FORUMEHOME template would have hidden the minimize button for the sidebar.
Anyway, try to add the following code to your additional.css template and see if it would help. Code:
#sidebar_button_link { display:none; } |
