Creating a custom widget from one of the included ones
If I wanted to create a custom Recent Articles widget, is it possible to create a second version of the one thats there and then modify it? I'm thinking using the php widget and dropping the contents of one of the php files into it, and then replicating its template and changing its name? I'm probably way over simplifying this, but I only know enough to be dangerous here. What I'm after is creating a widget that shows an article with a different set of styling ... like a "featured article" type thing.

I eventually figured this out myself. If you create a widget there is the option to configure it to use a specific template. I can just copy the expected template and then update it.
