There is a registered member on my site who suddenly cannot register to post on the forum. He is also not listed as a member list on the forum, but he is on my admin cp. This problem started right after I had a problem with the live chat software I purchased from 123flashchat.com
I went over the permissions and everything looks as it should. What else could be causing this and how can it be corrected? I cannot afford to scrap the software (even though I am sorely tempted to) and get chat software from a more reputable company. |

You could always try to replicate the user. Change the name of their old user profile.
Create a new user account via the Admin CP. Copy/Paste all their settings on the new user account. Now you have the same user name and an account that should work. Just give them a password they have to change, or send them a password reminder. Then use the Merge Users tool to merge all their old posts into the new account. That should solve the issue. Else it may be on their end and be a cookie/cache issue. |

I will see if it's a cookie/cache issue on his end first. If that doesn't solve the problem, I will try your 1st suggestion. Thank you
I'll let you know what happens. |
