Running a popular forum requires constant vigilance. Forums face constant attack from threats such as: spammers who take advantage of a forum, bots that steal your content and bandwidth, and trolls who seek attention no matter the cost to you. vBulletin allows you to ban individual user accounts and IP addresses. But how can you stop problem users who use proxies and anonymity networks to bypass your bans?

BlockScript is a PHP script which enables webmasters to quickly and easily deny access to problematic users that are difficult to block using standard methods. BlockScript detects and blocks requests from all types of proxy servers and anonymity networks, hosting networks, undesirable robots and spiders, and even entire countries.

This plugin allows you to easily integrate your BlockScript installation into your vBulletin forum, eliminating the need for any manual file modifications. Please note that BlockScript is commercial software which requires a license. We offer a fully functional one week free trial so that the software can be fully evaluated before purchase.

Your TXT file with the download says "BlockScript is distributed separately." ...

Is everything one needs to test this contained in your ZIP file here, or does the above comment mean we have to go to your web site and download a separate product to be able to have this mod work?

This plugin allows a BlockScript user to avoid making file edits and to easily access the Control Panel via the AdminCP. Note this is in the "Integration with vBulletin" section.

This plugin provides the integration required for a vBulletin forum. You may download a fully functional one week free trial so that you can evaluate the software.

Commercial software is not allowed on vBulletin.org

This download you have placed here offers nothing except for the person who has installed it, to automatically go to your site in order to download & buy your product.

It's basically ad-ware.

You install this & his "ad-ware" tell you that you that you need to download and install his product for $99.00

On his site it does offer a 7 day trail. But the download here on vBulletin.org is basically useless.

I'd classify this as ad-ware. I do not even allow ad-ware on my computer, let alone my site.
