I need to safely take my site offline!
Ok so this is what i need to know how to do in detail
remove all my vbulletin site of my host - but save the database and all posts etc - so when i need it back i can easily re upload! please explain in detail as i am a newb to all this! thanks! |

If you use cpanel you should have an option to run a backup... backup the database and the file system, download the archive files its creates... Open them to confirm all the files and data are there... be especially sure about the database- open the SQL file and scroll to the bottom, make sure it doesn't end in mid-line... Once you have these backups you should be able to reupload and reimport onto another host.
Ideally you would upload to the new host before deleting/closing your account at the old host just to be sure it worked, but if that's not possible then manually checking you have all the data is your only choice. |

im not moving host - just need it taking off atm - but still need the db etc for when i reupload and also need the mail to work so cant suspend it!
please explain in detail how to do this in points thanks and yes i have WHM and Cpanel! |
