Default Nivo Slider on CMS (or equivalent)

Hey there,

Currently, I am looking for an equivalent hack that will essentially mimic what my current (Drupal) site already has. We are an up-and-coming gaming review site, with strong ties to the largest companies, who is switching from our current Drupal system to vBulletin.

On our front page, we have something that is called a "dynamic display block", which essentially means that it shows an image for the most recent article (the image is custom made and uploaded by my writers and myself) and rotates automatically between the images, with the title of the article, and a short description. Upon clicking on the current image shown (and/or text) it takes you to the respective article/link. (For reference, you can see our front page at http://www.gamerfill.com )A commonly known example of this is the Nivo Slider, which can be found here: http://nivo.dev7studios.com/

I've seen multiple variations of this done already, but not in the way I would like. Examples of similar hacks I've been able to find: here and here.

For further professionally-done examples of our competitors, see the front page of the following sites:

http://www.ign.com/
http://g4tv.com/

Requirements

1) It needs to match any theme, fluid, fixed, etc.

2) This is for the CMS section of vBulletin 4.0. So a widget would most likely be the most appropriate type here. (But I'm not a coder, so that's your decision.)

3) (Here's the hard part) It needs to be directly editable via the article creation page on the CMS side of the site. In other words, whenever I or another writer of the site, with proper permissions, wants to make a new article, this hack needs to have options included in the article creation page that lets them upload an image to the reel, includes the title of the article, and lets them write a small description to include, and have an option that lets them CHOOSE whether or not to include the article in the slider or not. (We write a lot of articles, some of them are important, some are less important).

Something simple, not very complicated, with little chance of error occuring (as the one on our Drupal site now is rather glitchy at times. It's based upon keywords, so you can imagine...)

Not to mention, if you choose to do this code, it would be extremely helpful to a lot of users in the community, not just us. So I feel that it would become a very popular hack.

Feel free to contact me here, in this topic, via PM, or via email at julian@gamerfill.com

Thanks!
